ACCI Celebrates 37 Years of Service with Spectacular Annual Gala
On a night filled with celebration, reflection, and community spirit, ACCI (African Caribbean Community Initiative) marked a significant milestone—our 37th anniversary. Held at the Wolverhampton Racecourse, the event was a joyous occasion that brought together service members, staff, sponsors, and the local community to celebrate our legacy and future.
This year’s theme, ‘Moving Forward,’ perfectly captured the spirit of ACCI’s journey, highlighting the ongoing dedication and commitment of both our service members and team. For nearly four decades, ACCI has worked tirelessly to provide vital mental health support and services to individuals in the African-Caribbean community, and this gala was a heartfelt tribute to that effort.
An Evening to Remember
Over 500 people gathered to celebrate with us, making this one of our largest events to date. Hosted by Tonia Daley-Campbell, a talented local actress, the evening was filled with remarkable moments:
- Service Member Awards: To honor the resilience and achievements of our service members over the past year.
- Performances: Guests were treated to incredible performances by local singers, adding a festive energy to the night.
- African Marketplace: A vibrant marketplace showcased African culture, where guests could explore and shop from various stalls, further enriching the evening’s experience.
Raising Funds for a Worthy Cause
Thanks to the generous support of attendees, we raised over £10,000 through donations, all of which will go towards supporting our service members and continuing the essential services we provide. Every donation makes a difference in the lives of those we serve, and we are deeply grateful.
