Good Night sleep PROJEct

Aiming to
reduce bed
poverty

What is the 'Good Night Sleep Project'?

The Good Night Project is a community-driven initiative aimed at reducing bed poverty and ensuring that everyone in Wolverhampton has access to a suitable bed for a good night’s sleep.

“Bed poverty” refers to situations where individuals lack access to a bed or households cannot afford essential sleep-related items.

Working togther to drive change

A good night’s sleep is crucial for overall health and wellbeing. Like eating, drinking, and breathing, sleep is vital for maintaining both mental and physical health, as it helps repair and restore the brain and body (MentalHealth.org.uk).

In collaboration with the City of Wolverhampton Council and The Wolves Foundation, support may be available to help provide the items your household needs for a good night’s sleep. This can include bed frames, mattresses, and bedding. Some of these items may be new, while others are pre-loved, recycled, and refurbished by ACCI.

How To Apply

If you need support, please fill out the Self-Referral application. This service is available exclusively to Wolverhampton residents and can only be used once.

If you’re assisting someone who requires help from the project, please complete the Referral application on their behalf.

After submitting your application, a member of our team will contact you to discuss your request further.

All applications will be followed up with a phone call or a home visit, during which we may request additional information.
If approved, we aim to deliver the items within 21 days.

Please refrain from submitting multiple applications, as this may delay the processing of your original request.

Any information submitted as part of a referral or self-referral application will be shared with Wolves Foundation and/or ACCI, who will use it to consider the support request, to contact the relevant individual to obtain more information (if necessary) and, if the support request is successful, to facilitate delivery of the item(s). They will each process the personal data shared with them in accordance with their own privacy policies (Wolves Foundation Privacy Policy  and ACCI Privacy Policy). By submitting an application form, you confirm that you consent to the data entered being used and shared in this way – if you do not consent to this, you should not submit the information.

If you are submitting an application on behalf of another person (i.e. by completing a referral application) then, by submitting the form, you also confirm that you have the consent of that person to do so and for that data to be shared with Wolves Foundation and/or ACCI as described above. If this is not the case, you should not submit the application form.
