The ACCI to host annual gala to celebrate 36 years of serving the community and honour Service Members
Taking place on 30th September 2023, the African Caribbean Community Initiative (ACCI) Gala returns to celebrate 36 years of serving the community.
Taking place at the Wolverhampton Racecourse this September, the event will celebrate Service Members commitment to looking after their wellbeing, and the excellent care and support they receive from ACCI staff members.
The black-tie and traditional African attire event is expected to attract over 400 guests. During the evening, guests will be able to enjoy a drinks reception on arrival and a three course Caribbean meal with live entertainment provided throughout the evening.
2022 Gala Highlights
Last year’s event was hosted by UK comedian John Simmit with performances from The Voice UK 2021 singer & songwriter, Janel Antoneshia, The Black Country Choir, and local singer-songwriter, Xolo Spkq.
Shaun Wallace, from the popular ITV show, The Chase presented the prestigious Alicia Spence and Ferdi Addo awards during the evening.
About ACCI
We provide holistic and comprehensive support for African Caribbeans affected by mental ill-health. Our services include; supported housing and advice, day facilities and specialist outreach. They also provide an extensive and holistic counselling and therapeutic service and facilitate a dedicated and proactive Carers’ Support Group.
This is a special time of year for our charity. The Gala dinner allows us to raise awareness of mental health and fundraise at the same time’. Alicia went onto say ‘We really look forward to reconnecting with the community again this year and celebrating our Members.’
